Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Bill Hybels shared that formula several years ago, and I thought it was right on: High Potency (salty salt) plus Close Proximity (salt not thrown out!), plus Clear Communication (somehow people need to know that God deserves the credit for whatever good works we do) will yield Maximum Impact.
The message for us is simple: Be seasoned with the salt of God’s grace and truth. Get up close into peoples’ lives. Say it clear: Jesus is the source of all good that we are and do. And look for an eternal impact of life, salvation, and blessing in the lives of others.
Jesus says, “let your light shine so that people…give glory to your Father in heaven”. When we let the light of Christ’s grace and truth shine through our brokenness, and give light to the grace and truth we share, God will be praised.
Our calling for today: Somehow let someone see grace and truth through your life for the glory of God the Father!
