Ephesians 3:14-21
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Any prayer in faith – no matter how weak – seeking God’s help and favor is worth praying. Our prayers are not worth praying because they are eloquent, or even fervent. Jesus makes it clear, also that God does not listen to us because of our many words in prayer (Matthew 6:7). God listens because of his good heart and because his glory is in his grace to us.
Having said that, however, the words of this prayer are rich in meaning; seeking deep blessings for us who embrace them. We have been named by our Father in heaven as his beloved children. He delights to strengthen us with his Holy Spirit deep in our souls. Jesus yearns to live in our hearts by faith, grounding us in his love. God would have us grasp that love strongly – that which is high and deep, and long and wide; even beyond knowing.
In the end, when this prayer is prayed, and we experience its answer God is glorified. He is able to outperform our greatest expectations. He deserves our honor, praise, thanksgiving and worship now and forever and ever. Amen!
