Light from the Word and through the lens

Philippians 1:6

I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble.

Isaiah 40:31

they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.

Whether you are building a family, a life, a career, a business, a house, or a church building, one must remember that God is the One who has brought you to where you are. You live and breathe at his pleasure and providence. That calls for an attitude of humility. We are not self-made men and women. God is our help in ages past.

But, likewise, whether you face a financial challenge, an optimistic future, hopeful days, or catastrophic illness, God is the One who will see you through to the end. God is your hope for every good thing and future.

As we end the year 2010, and look forward to the New Year to come, we do so with the confidence of God’s past help and in anticipation of God’s future help.

Philippians 1:6

I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
